Carla Bruni's Quelqu'un m'a dit from (500) Days of Summer is the only French song I've heard more than a hundred times I think..
then there's La Mer which is the original French version of Beyond the Sea..which is very very cute! I havent really heard any more than that..and I dont listen to them becoz I understand a stray phrase here and there..
I listen to Sigur Ros coz their songs are in Icelandic which is like wayyyy out of my league :D
Almost anything by Edith Piaf, but I recommend Milord, Padam Padam, Exodus, La Foule, No Regrets... hell, anything on the album Nein ich bereue nichts. Current addiction.
@TUIB- Yes, that and the song the woman sings in Before Sunset are the only two French songs I used to listen to. Also Paris Je t'aime. Will try Sigur Ross which I have heard of actually. @Shalmi- Listened. Tumi gem.
